•  Determine Your Non-Negotiables

Your “Experience Non-Negotiables” are the details that we really must make happen in order to minimally meet your expectations.  If you would like a Jewish wedding, a Rabbi might be a non-negotiable.  Maybe you’ve dreamed of a Jungle Wedding since you saw The Jungle Book when you were 6 years old.  Vegan? Sushi? Champagne? Mayan Shaman Officiating?

But of all the things that are important, the single biggest determinant of your wedding/event budget is your Guest List.  The number of people that will actually receive an invitation is the single biggest multiplier in our little formula.  And the actual number of invitations sent is what really matters because my very first job is to find you the perfect accommodations for your group.  In Belize, the accommodation’s location is almost always both the ceremony location and the reception location.  And even though you think Great Aunt Betty isn’t coming, she just might – and we need to be able to accommodate her wheelchair and dietary restrictions.  The more guests, the more of everything  – not just food, but chairs, tables, napkins, entry fee (if a Maya Site or Zoo, for example), transportation (if needed) etc.

So, even if you have no other non-negotiables, Step One is to know your invitation count, even if it’s zero and you’re eloping!  Once you know your number – Yay! It’s time to move on to Step 2.
