First Pack For A Purpose Donation on It’s Way

Back in July 2013 I became aware of a wonderful organization called Pack For A Purpose. This organization provides a place for would be travelers to find out what needs their destination country may have and encourages those tourists to “pack for a purpose” and bring much needed items with them. Imagine if every tourist brought down a packet of pencils, a roll of bandages or some other small, light weight item…what a difference it would make!
There are three organizations I chose to support – San Pedro Red Cross, San Pedro AIDS Commission, and SAGA Humane Society. I do wish more San Pedro Businesses would sign up for this free service. Each business can chose their own charities, so imagine what all those tourists could do to really change Belize for the better.
Here’s the email I received from the visitor who will be staying at Pedro’s Inn
“Thanks Lara. I’m very excited to visit Belize. I discovered Pack for A Purpose last year when I was visiting Panama. I went to a school on RedFrog Island and the kids were so excited for the supplies, it was great.”
I’m actually really proud of this, and I cannot wait until January when she arrives. I’ll take photo’s and share it all with you.
