Bride Has 2.3 Mile Wedding Aisle in Belize
The aisle is a pretty important detail in a wedding. Every little girls vision of her wedding starts with the walk down the aisle in a white dress, on the arm of her father, toward her very own Prince Charming. Every little girl except for Melissa’s, that is. I estimate my bride Melissa had the Longest Aisle in History.
I researched the wedding aisle, according to Wil’s World of Words, as the βaisleβ is the central passage in the wedding venue’, and since it’s a destination wedding, Belize is the venue. In order to create a line, i’m going to define it as from the time the bride and her father begin the official approach to the intended fiance. Go with it.
In fact, using this logic, Melissa’s “aisle” was more than twice as long as Kate Middletons walk down the aisle. The distance from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey is .86 miles (1.4 km), and i estimate Melissa’s was approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km).
It started with the bride leaving her condo to get into a golf cart.
Where we had to wrap her up so her dress wouldnt get dirty as they began their 1 mile cart ride to The Palapa Bar.
Then, Melissa continued her ‘walk down the aisle’ via boat. Hi armando! π
The dock is really long,
Whew! She made it π
She stopped along the way to pick up this bouquet. It never would have made it through the boat ride, so there was someone to hand it to her when she got off.
After the “I Do’s”, its back on the boat for a private toast and a romantic moment
Great job, I Do Belize Weddings in working the logistics of this intricate and super fun wedding aisle. Alice Corrigan was a super awesome Bridal Apprentice, and helped to make this detail driven moment happen.
