Belize to San Salvador – 47 minutes

I had to take notes.  The trip here was just the beginning.  To start, TACA leaves BZE at 1230.  the ABSOLUTE perfect time.  Wake at a normal hour, drop off the forster cat, and the Wonder Puppy, bring www.tacogirl.com to town with me, and off on the flight to BZE from SPR at 11 am.  PERFECTO!

TACA gives you FREE drinks (yes alcohol), free blankie (still in plastic) free headphones, free baggage check…ah! i love TACA!  47 minutes later, bienvenido en El Salvador!

The hotel i found, www.arboldefuego.com arranged for a taxi to pick me up and drive me the 45 minutes from the airport to the hotel.  Its perfectly charming, completely safe, and very quaint.

My driver took me first to the “old city” and we tried to go to the “Palace” but it was closed.  I did get to see two churches.  One was just downright STRANGE. So strange, it transcended to “art” as far as i’m concerned.

Walking through the park from the Palace to the church, children were playing with the pigeons.  They would feed the, then wait for them to gather, then RUN through them making them SOAR!  was magnifique!

Then, went to “MARTA” the Museo De Arte. It was nice, but it has to be part of a larger day…like the one i had 🙂  First to the old city, then to MARTE with a stop at the only “boutique” i’ve found (bought purse and FAB watch) then Lunch at the Sheraton (pic of me at the hotel having lunch)
