Home Sweet Home
I got back from a jam packed trip to the US and El Salvador late Wednesday evening, then had Thanksgiving on Thursday. I was exhausted! I have much to share about the trip, and will do so over the coming days.
I took the dog for a walk today. And there are tourists here. It’s definitely ‘high season’. As i was walking the dog, and watching the tourists, i had to smile to myself. The thing about living here is this: I live in other peoples vacation. Yes, many of us work here, but one and all we agree, the best part of leaving is coming back home.
So, I left on sunday, after having done a fire show with Tanya. I took the 45 minute flight from Belize City to San Salvador, grabbed a taxi, and stayed at a boutique hotel in the Santa Elena area. Ordered in Chinese 🙂 🙂
The next day, i had a lovely breakfast in the hotel. One of the things i love about central american boutique hotels, they all seem to have an open air area. It’s a fantastic indoor-outdoor space. Very chic. Reminds me of Antigua, Gautemala and all the amazing gardens tucked behind the walls.
Anyway, after breakfast, i was off to the airport. There was enough leftover chinese food to feed me the entire day. 🙂 I arrived in Philadelphia to a bit of a chill and the warm arms of my oldest friend.
