12-belizeBelizean. Luxury. Made Here.

12 belize Belize, a lifestyle boutique.

Owner Lara Goldman’s intention when she started 12 Belize was to supply her destination brides with fantastic Belizean made products for guest welcome bags, what she wound up doing, however, far surpassed her imagination.

With goods from over a dozen Belizean micro-businesses, 12 is proud of the beautiful, world-class quality made here in un-Belize-able Belize, and is thrilled to be able to share all of it with the world.

The line of products carried at 12 Belize changes as new artisans are discovered.  Spices, soaps, body products, photos, handbags and purses, stained glass, chocolate bombs (an exclusive product) and many other wonderful Belizean Made products are available.  This is not your average specialty shop.  The target market is the owner herself, and all the other people that live in Belize who just happen to also like nice things.

We love to give our vendors a Spot Light and take you behind the scenes of their every day -extraordinary lives, creating the beautiful artisans’ articles 12 Belize is so proud to carry.

OurSpotlightt vendor, Libby lives on a beautiful piece of land just before the junction to go to Caracol.

When we were driving to her house she was explaining the density of Mayan artifacts and Mayan ‘mounds’ in the area. There are over 600 ancient Maya sites in Belize, and one of the great wonders to me is that each ‘mound’ or small hill you see is most likely an un-excavated Mayan site.  She has some on her land as well, and explained that her land was once the “suburbs of Caracol”.  Caracol was one of the most famous and important ancient Mayan Cities and was active and populated from about 1200 BC to 950 AD.

Friendly little neighbors

“The Junction” is Libby’s little, strange gift shop/bar/spice outlet store located at the junction to Caracol, Rio of Pool, and Rio Frio Caves.  All truly exceptional sites.

Caribbean Spice is a premier spice and seasoning company that Libby started a few years ago. She and her family hail from New Orleans, so food, spices, and fun are in her DNA and her accent makes me laugh all day long. I wish my name ended in an “R” so I could hear how it would sound with a Cajun accent, but I digress.

I love featuring and using her products, all made here in Belize, in my gift baskets, and for guest welcome bags. Nothing represents a region quite like it’s food and flavors, so they really are perfect for that. Her talent for creating marvelous recipes just keeps the storerooms of, brimming with goodness.   Her products bring an overwhelmingly positive response throughout Belize and on our 12 Belize site.

How about a little rummage through our storehouse… And if your plane has landed, take in a proper stroll through our 12 Belize store on San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize.  If you haven’t gotten here yet,  no worries, just click on over to our online store and we will ship it right to your door.

Dribbles of Honey and BBQ Sauce

Smokey Belizean Barbeque Sauce, Mango Tamarind Barbecue Sauce, Smoked Habanero BBQ Sauce, Balsamic Habanero Drizzle…  Is your mouth watering yet?

Personally some Mango Honey or maybe Vanilla Bean Honey would be awesome on some cornbread.

About now, you’ve probably started your BBQ grill…  but hold on, you’re gonna need some spice Rub on them racks!

Spice up my Rack!

Spice up my Racks!

I could go on and on… but then you’d never get your order placed.  Or book your plane.  And there are so many other goodies over here at 12 Belize that are absolutely necessary for those of us who like a bit of Belizean Luxe.

Gotta go, I’m starving!

Thank you for supporting 12 Belize, and we look forward to supporting your fun-fabulous adventures at Romantic Travel Belize! Because that’s how we spice it up over here!
