Bamboo Toilet Paper Holder

The bathroom is not yet done. We had a snafu with the granite, and am waiting to sort it out. So, no update photos, but i’ve been happily glueing away to make things to decorate it when it’s done…. one day, when it’s done.

Toilet paper is a tricky thing when designing a bathroom. Everything needs to be easily accessible. The roll you are using, and much more dire, the all important ‘back up rolls’. The rounded corner cabinet is the perfect size and place for the extra rolls, but i was stymied as to what to do with the “active” roll.

It’s been raining. Out to the “Doll House” for supplies. I had a roll of construction wire, rusty, but usable, and the remaining ball o’ twine from the chandelier in the “Portico” of the “Doll House”. I had a piece driftwood bamboo that was the perfect diameter. I used my trusty “Robozip” and cut the bamboo to size. I rough measured out where i’d like it to fall on the wall, and cut the wire, folded it in two and broke out the glue gun. I glued a line of twine the length of the wire for stability, and then started twirling. My hands hurt.
