Golfing in Belize A Great Vacation

I’m not a much of a golfer.  That is to say, I tried hitting balls once in 1997, and wound up whacking my date in the head with a club.  While he might have deserved it, it wasnt much fun.  Throughout my years as an executive in “corporate america” there was a lot of pressure to learn golf, but i just had no interest.

Until i moved to Belize, and saw Caye Chapel.  Caye Chapel is an island golf course.  Meaning: It’s an island that is a golf course.  Pretty sick.  It’s so awesome that Golf Digest published an article about it in the April 2013 issue, called “Travel Secrets: UnBelizeAble”

But the jokes on them…  that’s not a Secret.  If all those famous people went there, it’s not a secret.  A Secret is a course i’ll bet the folks at Golf Digest dont even know about.  I have been asked a hundred times about golfing in Belize, and the only answer was “Caye Chapel…if it’s open”.  Good to know it is, but now i know another place.  It’s on the mainland near the capital.  And, guess what….it’s apparently pretty darn good!!  I dont know diddly about golf, but my friends who also live here do, and when they went on a little vacation from paradise, they went golfing on the mainland.

7 Day Golf Vacation Itinerary anyone?  There’s plenty for your non-golf friends to do while you’re hitting the greens…

For those that love golf, let’s put together the perfect golf vacation itinerary.  I love the idea of a Golf Destination Bachelor Weekend… a little bit of fishing, a little bit of golfing, a little bit of jungle, and a little more golf…and a little bit of partyin’ too 🙂  Email me at Lara@romantictravelbelize.com or call 215-469-2496
