RTAB is Flying High with Tropic Air!
Over the last few weeks, a LOT has happened. Among some big personal stuff, my 19 year old cat died. That wasnt fun. But then again, it was here in Belize, and therefore, the island took care of me. The amazing vet, Dr. Laurie Droke, was supportive and compassionate in those last days, and came to my home on a Sunday, to help him move on. It couldnt have been more peaceful, and i couldnt have asked for it to go any better.
As is the way, along with some bad, you get a lot of good. I have a tremendous amount of amazing business in the pipeline. There are 3 MAJOR Familiarization Trips. These trips are a complete division from the norm. The members of the associations i’m working with are KEY. They have prominent internet presence and a clear marketing scheme on how they are going to get the rest of “UP THERE” to hear the wee little Who’s down here. “Mother Natures Best Kept Secret”, one of the mottos of Belize, is so true. But, we have so much to share, i think we need to be “Mother Natures Best Kept Secret Its OK To Share With Your ‘One Tell'”. 🙂
Anyway, those Fam Trips are going to have about 20 – 40 people EACH in them, and will be bringing themselves, their potential tourism dollars, and their clients with them….in slow season 🙂 The relationships i’m forming with the leaders of these trips is so exciting, so fullfilling, the whole thing has no choice but to be fruitful for EVERYONE, especially our beloved Belize.
There is a Health and Wellness Retreat slotted for October. The owner of that program is coming down in a couple weeks for a scouting trip.
So with all this marketing effort baring fruit, i’ve been racking my brain to find the perfect places for each of these organizations. One will be coming through Cancun, so working with Henry Menzies to work on pricing to get him to Bus them directly to Corozol. It’s sorting working out the kinks in a formal way for large groups. Its why i only want to work with the best of Belize. i want to be able to work with professionals who understand not only their business, but business in general.
So, as i aspire to work with the best, I contact John Greif, President, Tropic Air. He graciously agreed to meet with me, and then agreed to join the Romantic Travel Association of Belize. In that short meeting, he pointed out several things I hadnt thought about. The biggest of all being that ALL of these huge groups i’m bringing down are in SLOW season. I dont know how i didnt notice it prior, but i hadnt. Thats a very good thing for everyone, and i’m just glad to be able to do it.
Let’s not ever forget the point of RTAB is to market. Its to help the businesses of Belize to connect to the people we need to reach. Belize is still so undiscovered, so exotic, so different from other islands, but people dont know about us! How many times have you heard, “Belize? Where is that?”. That’s a problem. We DO need tourism. We need a LOT more tourism. We have the product: Sun, sand, Caribbean Sea, the barrier reef, the jungles, the people, the culture, the English Speaking Language, easy marriage laws, first class services. We just need to tout those and get to the people that will love us best.
My personal business, Lemon Crush Belize, needs the attention. I need people to know about the brand, and the concept of the Bridal Bikini. The best way to do that is through the internet, and the best way through the internet is the partnerships, both here in Belize and with websites and informational services and their clients. Gotta love a win-win-win-win.
