Pack For A Purpose – Belize

I was reading the Ambergris Caye Message Board, and  i saw a post about this Pack For A Purpose Program.  I clicked the link, and then checked out the Belize section of the site.  To my surprise, Pack for a Purpose Belize is VERY well represented on there, with lots of fabulous causes.

The Inn at Roberts Grove, in Placencia, for example, has a school and the Humane Society.  KaAna Belize supports a school.  In fact, there are 11 properties currently participating in the program.  I think this is just wonderful, and i also think it’s a great start, but there’s so much opportunity in this program.

I would love to see properties making more of this, perhaps adding a link to the website in their confirmation emails.  I know i’m going to absolutely do so for those clients staying in those properties.  I’m also going to start speaking to brides.  What an amazing thing to add into your invitations so that your guests can bring something if they chose, then all of it can be donated in the name of the couple who got married.  Wont that be lovely?

I think i’d even give the couple a plaque to commemorate their generosity.
